Dr. Stack Named to DOD-VHA Workgroup

Tidewater PSV Chapter Member, Dr. Kathleen Marie Stack, DFAPA, was selected by Department of Defense as a Substance Use Disorder Subject Matter Expert (SME) representative to the DOD and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) workgroup, developing the next generation of DOD/VHA Substance Use Disorder practice guidelines to be published in 2021. These guidelines research and harvest "best practices" as a means to improve evidence-based treatment guidelines to clinicians in both systems of care.
Dr. Stack is recognized as a national DOD SUD treatment leader and she is invited regularly to lecture at Department of Defense on this topic, both regionally and nationally, having lectured at Fort Eustis, Fort Belvoir and Fort Sam Houston.
