PSV Visits UVA and VCU Residents

This summer Andrew Mann, PSV Association Manager, along with James Pickral and Mark Hickman, Commonwealth Strategy Group, who handle government affairs for PSV, visited University of Virginia Medical School and Virginia Commonwealth University Medical School. The PSV team was accompanied by Stephanie Auditore, Director of Membership for APA and Kerry Hummel, American Professional Agency, Inc.

In Charlottesville, Delegate Richard P. ”Dickie” Bell addressed the residents on the importance of being aware of legislation in their field and informing legislators on key mental health issues.

In Richmond, State Senator Siobhan S. Dunnavant, MD, discussed opioid addiction and the prescribing habits of physicians.

The PSV Board of Directors and staff continue to make it a priority to get the students and residents involved in networking with peers from other schools, leadership and advocacy. The PSV staff, along with the staff of the APA, work diligently to keep these schools in the APA 100% Club.
